Sudore Pilates Certification Mission Statement

Sudore Pilates Certification is a comprehensive teacher training program that integrates the work of Joseph and Clara Pilates with a functional understanding of anatomy as it applies to the needs of the general population.

It is our goal to educate future Pilates teachers about the body and movement so that they will be able to construct creative and effective programs for their clients giving them greater ease of movement, flexibility and strength.

WORKSHOP I

This course provides an introduction to the Pilates fundamentals incorporating the mat, reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda chair.

WORKSHOP II

In this workshop, students will build their Pilates repertoire, advancing with the matwork, reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, and the introduction of the electric chair.

WORKSHOP III

At this point students will be capable of distinguishing the levels of movement unique to Pilates. Students will continue to work with the apparatus previously reviewed, giving them the knowledge to begin their work with Sudore clients.

WORKSHOP IV

The material in this course is typically introduced only once the client has mastered the previous material. This workshop also includes magic circle, spine corrector, Theraband, and ball work.

ANATOMY

This workshop is designed as an anatomy review, with focus on Pilates specific regions. Students will have a basic understanding of injuries and health concerns they may encounter once interacting with clients.

PRENATAL EXERCISE

Pregnant mothers and new mothers have specific physical demands on their bodies that must be addressed by the Pilates instructor. We will review the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines and contraindications for pre and post natal exercise as well as the most recent studies on exercise during pregnancy. Through this seminar you will be prepared to train a woman through each trimester of her pregnancy as well as instruct specific exercises for the post-natal client.
